Dhaka University all informtion you must know

Dhaka University is the most prestigious university in Bangladesh. It is simply known as DU. It has a great contribution to the history of Bangladesh. The university students, teachers and others stuff roles in the mother language movement, independent war cannot be described in words. Now it is playing an important role in the education sector by creating talented person to build the Bengali nation

Dhaka University History

It was established in 1921. It is the first university in East Bengal. Nawab Sir Khawaja Salimullah Bahadur, Viceroy Lord Hardinge proposed it first in 2nd February 1912. Many students, teachers and others stuff sacrificed their lives for the Bengali nation, Bengali language and liberation A lot of teachers were killed by the Pakistani army on 25th December 1971. DU students played important role in the mother language movement. The Pakistani government tried to impose the Urdu language. But the students raise movement against them. Some students were killed on 21st February 1952. Now we celebrate the day as International Mother Language Day.

Dhaka University Admission

Every year students have to attend in admission test to admit in the university. The authority publishes University of Dhaka admission circular on their official website. admission.eis.du.ac.bd is the official website for DU admission. Students have to apply online via this website to attend the admission test. There is four unit A, B, C, D). A unit is for science group students, B unit for humanities group, C unit is for commerce group. In D unit, every student ( Science, Humanities and Commerce) can attend.
